What is the Northeast Cluster?

The Northeast Cluster comprises Unitarian Universalist congregations in the Northeast region of Florida and is a recognized entity within the Southern Region. Its role is to encourage information sharing and teamwork between member congregations so that they can better serve their congregations and the wider UU mission. Florida UUA District Assembly 2015 Photos

  FL Dist Assy 2015 SamplerThe Florida District was dissolved during its final District Assembly by an overwhelmingly supportive delegate vote. This means that the Florida District, along with the Southeast District, Mid-South District and the Southwestern Conference have dissolved district governance and consolidated into the UUA’s Southern Region, which includes 218 congregations, with approximately 30,000 members in 12 states, Mexico and the Virgin Islands.

Saturday, March 21, 2015: Free the Giant Within Workshop

Make Saturday a Justice Saturday! If you are not marching with Coalition of Immokalee Workers in St Petersburg, come to the Empowerment Workshop sponsored by UU Justice Florida and the Northeast Cluster. First you will learn ways to energize your path with peace and in the afternoon you can choose one of three breakout sessions:

Environmental Justice and Commit2Respond with UU Ministry for Earth leaders, Irene and Bob Keim;

Creating  a Message that Delivers for varied platforms with 1U’s ministerial intern,  Lois Cole,

and First Steps for a Justice Initiative – applying Nancy Nordyke-Shelley’s  Florida’s mass incarceration initiative as a model.

Fair Districts Florida wins a major victory
